World Mental Health Day - Nursery

For World Mental Health Day we took part in #helloyellow. In Nursery we had lots of fun activities.

• We all wore something yellow or had yellow accessories.
• We learnt about five finger breathing, breathe in going up our fingers and out going down our fingers, after we talked about how it made our hearts feel calm and happy.
• We made worry rocks, we decorated rocks with goggly eyes, stickers, sequins and glitter. If we feel sad in school we can tell our worry rocks how we feel.
• We talked about how we could make our dolls in Nursery feel happy and how we could make ourselves feel happy.
• We coloured in special colouring in pages.
• We talked about how music makes us feel happy.
• We had a light disco to some of our favourite songs.
• We played with our yellow water.
• We even had our lunch in special yellow containers.
• We ended our day with lovely #helloyellow stickers.

To quote one of the children we had “the best day ever.”
