Nursery had a great day celebrating World Book Day. We got our photo taken with Catherine from Tiny Life and the Nursery Tiny Life Award. Catherine was so excited to see the children all dressed up and thought they looked fantastic.
Then we raced back to Nursery as the Primary 4 children were coming to read us stories. The Nursery children were so excited for the arrival of the 'big kids,' the children got themselves comfy and waited for their reading partners to arrive. The children from Primary four were amazing. They read their stories and chatted to the children about their book. It was lovely to see how the children engaged together and how well the Nursery children listened to their Primary four friends.
The icing on the cake was a visit from Mrs Currie at story time. The children loved hearing Mrs Currie's story and meeting Ted the Primary One teddy bear.
It was a very special day, one that will be remembered in Nursery for a long time. Thank you to all our families for their effort with the costumes, I think you will agree everyone looked brilliant!
