On Wednesday 4th March, we are delighted to be celebrating World Book Day in Orritor Primary School and Nursery Unit. This is always a highlight in our school calendar, and this year promises to be extra special with a variety of fun and engaging activities planned for all pupils.
One of the main events of the day will be our much loved “Dress as Your Favourite Book Character” celebration. Children are invited to come to school dressed as a character from a book they enjoy.
We are also excited to be running paired reading sessions, where older pupils will spend time reading with younger children across the school and nursery. This activity was suggested by our Student Council.
Overall, it promises to be a memorable day filled with imagination, creativity, and a shared enthusiasm for reading.
