Woodwork Club

11th Feb 2026

Woodwork club has now finished and the children have all taken home their phone/tablet holders.  Over the last five weeks they have worked very hard and learned a lot of new technology and design skills.

They first had to accurately measure and mark out their pieces of wood.

They were then taught how to safely use a coping saw to cut out the required slots and to separate their project into the two pieces required.

Next they had to use a drill to make the holes needed to neatly feed through a charging cable.

After much filing and sanding to finish the rough edges they put their personal stamp on their design and finished it by painting, colouring or varnishing.

The finished pieces are amazing - Well done everyone!
