P3 are learning about personal safety. They have been thinking about things and places which are safe and unsafe. They painted different scenes with potential hazards, coded a pedestrian and vehicle journeys, within a town scene on J2turtle, and had fun on the bikes and trikes, wearing their safety helmets!
They also completed a Literacy/PD&MU task called Copycat about some children playing in a building site and encouraging their friend to play with them. Finally, some worked in groups to discuss safety rules for playing in a park and others thought about people who they could trust to talk to, if they were on their own.
We had lots of interesting discussions and hope these will help us all to stay ‘Safe & Sound!
