Rugby Tots in Nursery
Nursery had lots of fun this morning with Justin from Rugby Tots.
Justin started our session with a sticky fingers warm up, the children had to run around and then get into groups of different numbers.
We then went on to practice scoring a try. We had to hold the rugby ball in two hands and push it down into the ground. The children were very good at this and lots of brilliant tried were scored.
We then learnt how to throw a ruby ball. We had to throw with both hands and push it up to throw it. To catch it we practiced putting our hands like baskets to catch the ball.
Finally we practised our kicking skills. Placing the ball on the tee, taking three steps back and kicking the ball up into the air.
We ended with a warm down using the parachute. Look at the photos to see the children holding the parachute all by themselves. We were so proud. We can’t wait to see Justin next week to practice our rugby skills! 🏉
