RESTART SEPTEMBER 2020

13th Aug 2020

Firstly can I apologise for not being able to update parents sooner. This is entirely due to the Minister and DENI only providing guidance at such a late time despite being aware of the issues since the end of June.

The aim is for all pupils to be back full time from 1st September onwards.

We have just received the guidance from DENI today regarding the restart. It will take us time to digest the information and issue a new plan. Parents will be notified through this website and through email channels previously used for home learning, as soon as we have them in place. In the meantime I will be conferring with staff on the way forward, as well as transport and EA services. It is essential that parents play their part in the return to school also. We are committed to having everyone back in school, in a safe environment for everyone.

I hope to place a letter from the minister to parents and carers on this site also.

The existing arrangements for Nursery, P1(27/28th August) and P7 pupils to return on the week commencing 24th August will remain in place. There are no transport or catering services available that week.

these arrangements were posted on the website on 29th June and in the email channels.

Assuring you of a speedy revelation of the new start plans,

K Wright
