Primary 5 Instructions, Pirates, Apple Stripeys and Plenty of Fun!

Primary 5 have been diving into the world of instructions—learning how to give clear oral instructions for drawing cartoon pictures, spotting key features in reading, and using clear layouts to write step-by-step guides of their own to make apple stripeys.

From identifying bossy verbs to using suitable time connectives, they've been sharpening their skills in both reading and writing instructions.

The highlight?

Making pirate hats by following spoken instructions, playing a pirate-themed game that tested their listening skills and teamwork, and—of course—making and eating our apple stripeys!

It’s been a great mix of learning and laughter, with even more exciting activities to follow.
