Book Fair Dear Parent/Guardian, just a reminder that we will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair from Monday 13th May to Friday 17th May in Orritor Primary School. This is your opportunity to visit our school and purchase some books and stationery for your children. Planting sunflowers

Our student Leanne helped us to plant sunflowers. We looked after them and watered them everyday. We had lots of fun watching them grow.

We grew some extra sunflowers, took them out of the pots and investigated with magnifying glasses. We learned lots of new vocabulary like stem and roots. We thought the roots looked like tiny wiggly worms.

We all took some sunflowers home and we will plant the rest in the nursery garden. We hope they will grow taller than us.
