Physical fun with Rachael from 33 Activities

20th Mar 2026

The children in Nursery had so much fun with Rachael from 33 Activities. Rachael got us warmed up with a game of Simon Says. The children all listened very well. The children had to move in different ways negotiating around the cones and each other!

Next the children used their fine motor skills - their little finger muscles - to catch little coloured sea creatures with clothes pegs. The pegs were a little tricky to open and close but the children did so well. They found the little creatures under the cones and placed them in the buckets. To make the challenge even harder the children sorted the creatures for colour.

The children explored throwing and catching with the scarves. The scarves take a little longer to float down than a ball so these are excellent resources for practicing catching skills. The children even practiced catching with their heads and flicking the scarves up from their feet. Lots of fun was had by everyone. Thank you Rachael for a very fun session - we loved it!
