Patterns, Place Value and Penguins 🐧

P3 have been looking for patterns within the 100 square. They were also thinking about the value of the tens and units digits and played some games to reinforce this. 

They listened to the story of The Runaway Iceberg, with penguins Rossi and Gaspar floating on a melting iceberg! They have been writing their own penguin stories and finding out about Gentoo penguins in Belfast Zoo on Junior Newsdesk. 

In Science they were learning that penguin feathers are waterproof and are now investigating ice. 🧊
