Primary 6's numeracy topic has been data handling this week. They have learned about the components of bar charts and how they represent data visually. They discussed how to plan and label a bar chart correctly and they solved problems using bar charts and created questions for others to solve on given bar charts. They collected their own data to present on a bar chart by carrying out a traffic survey on the Orritor road. Finally they were given a very busy and confusing picture of a car park which they had to analyse and present in a much more streamlined and meaningful way. We even had a surprise visit from Jenson and Logan from P1 who helped us to count the vehicles - thank you boys!
