The children loved getting into character, arriving at school dressed as their favourite book heroes and storybook figures. Throughout the day, they took great pride in sharing their love of reading with our Nursery pupils.
One of the highlights was when P4 paired up with the boys and girls in the Nursery to read stories together. Our older pupils showed wonderful confidence and kindness as they helped turn pages, used expressive voices, and chatted about the characters and pictures. The Nursery children were completely captivated, enjoying the special attention and the chance to listen to stories brought to life by their P4 buddies.
It was a lovely opportunity to build friendships across year groups, to promote reading for enjoyment, and to see our pupils being fantastic role models. A brilliant day all round!
