P2 had a fantastic Shared Education Day in St Mary’s Primary School
P2 had a wonderful time last Wednesday when we met up with our Shared Education partnership friends in St Mary’s Primary School.
The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a wide range of fun activities. These included making binoculars, building explorer jungle huts and bridges, creating jungle animals from playdough and recycled materials, drawing jungle animals in their habitat and hunting for animals in jungle swamps. There was a lot of chat about shared interests and together they problem solved any tricky jungle challenges. We listened to a Rumble in the Jungle story, then had our lunch together and got to play outside.
All too soon our fun day was over and we had to say goodbye to our friends. Thank you Mrs Crossley and Paula for all your hard work in organising and leading such a fun-filled, enjoyable day and to all the other staff who helped with activities and dinner. We are already looking forward to our next meet up in Orritor Primary School on Thursday 19th March.
