Outdoor Learning Area - Tidy Up

3rd Sep 2025

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are delighted to share that one of the key priorities in our School Development Plan this year is the enhancement of our Outdoor Learning spaces—specifically the areas behind the Primary 2 and Primary 3 classrooms, as well as outside the Primary 1 classroom. These spaces have the potential to become inspiring environments where our children can learn, explore, and thrive through meaningful outdoor experiences. To help bring this vision to life, we are reaching out to our fantastic school community for support.

We would be extremely grateful for your help on Saturday 20th September from 10am to 1pm. Whether you’re skilled with tools, enjoy organising, or simply want to lend a helping hand, there’s a role for everyone! We need volunteers to assist with cleaning the areas, disposing of old resources, building equipment, and setting up designated learning zones. Your time and effort will make a lasting difference to our pupils and help foster a love of learning in the outdoors.

As a token of our appreciation, we’ll be providing hotdogs and juice for all volunteers—so come hungry and ready to make a difference!

If you have any tools that could be useful—such as drills, hammers, brushes, shovels, a power washer, or even a small trailer—we would be very grateful if you could bring them along.

We may need to arrange another session in the future, depending on how much we’re able to accomplish—but we’re hopeful that many hands will make light work and we’ll achieve a lot together on the day.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community, share in the excitement of creating something special, and contribute to a space that will benefit our children for years to come. We promise a morning filled with teamwork, positivity, and the satisfaction of making a real impact. Even an hour of your time would be greatly appreciated!

If you are able to help, please contact Mr Cheevers at icheevers766@c2kni.net and add in any particular skills you may have or equipment you are able to bring on the day.

Thank you in advance for your support, enthusiasm, and generosity. We look forward to seeing many of you there and working together to build something truly wonderful for our children.

 Yours sincerely,

Mr Cheevers
