Orritor PS & Nursery – Weekly Round-Up (Week 7)
17th Oct 2025

A huge thank you to Cookstown High School for inviting our Primary 7 pupils and staff to the matinee performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The children were absolutely captivated — the singing, acting, and stage production were all top-notch!

This was the penultimate week of our current After-School Clubs, and there’s been plenty of fun and activity!

Primary 7 pupils continued their swimming lessons at Cookstown Leisure Centre, building confidence and improving their strokes.

A special thank you to Reverend Currie for joining us on Thursday and leading a thoughtful Harvest assembly.
The children listened intently and learned a lot. We’re looking forward to next week’s visit and our Pupil of the Month Assembly

Our girls and boys represented Orritor PS brilliantly at the Ulster Hockey Blitz held at Dungannon Royal School.

This week, we focused on the value of Resilience — the ability to keep going, stay positive, and try our best even when things are tough.
Here’s how our pupils showed resilience:
• Nursery to P2 – Always trying their best

• P3 & P4 – Positive attitudes and consistent effort

• P5 to P7 – Determined and hardworking
