Nursery Shared Education - Rugby Tots

2nd May 2025

The Nursery children were so excited to travel on the bus to see their friends at St. Peter's. They had lots of fun playing together in St. Peter's Nursery. It was very exciting as St. Peter's were learning about mini beasts and they had beetles in their play tray - just like the one we found in our Nursery!

The children took it in turns to take part in a Rugby Tots session with Justin. Justin played lots of fun games like 'sticky fingers' to encourage the children to play and interact together. The children then played a teamwork game, the children had to listen for the whistle and pass the ball to their partner either by passing it, throwing it or placing it on the ground. The children were very good at working together and taking turns. We then played a game called 'snowballs' - the children split into two teams and had to work together to throw the snowballs (rugby balls) onto the other side of the cones. The winners were the team that had the least snowballs on their side when the whistle blew. Luckily both sessions ended on a draw!

Finally we had to work together to get all the rugby balls off the parachute. Thank you Justin for such a fun session. A big thank you to all the our parent helpers, we hope you had as much fun as we did.

Thank you to all at St. Peter's for such a fun morning, we can't wait to welcome you back to Orritor next week!
