Yesterday we welcomed our little friends from St Mary’s along with their lovely teacher Miss McFlynn. We had been waiting for their visit for quite a while and were so glad whenever they arrived. We started our day off with a getting to know you chat followed by some snack and then it was outside to have a run around before the rain came. We spent the next while playing in the Vet’s surgery looking after some very sick pets, making Special Friends cards as well as getting outdoors to do some farming and building. After lunch we came back to the classroom for a story about a little lion who was so very shy but with the help of a few lovely friends, he was able to overcome this shyness. St Mary’s treated us to a wonderful rendition of The Lion sleeps tonight and we were absolutely blown away with the singing and the actions. We now cannot wait until next week for our trip to An Creggan and of course we will be bringing the new addition to the classes, Bridgey Bear🐻
