Hello Yellow

Today Orritor Primary School and Nursery Unit were a sea of yellow to celebrate World Mental Health Day. Staff were treated to breakfast before starting their day and then we all met for assembly. Mrs Currie was reminding us how important it is to look after our minds as well as our bodies because our thoughts and feelings matter just as much as our muscles! We all feel happy, worried, sad or cross at times but what helps is talking about it, being kind to ourselves and doing things that make our hearts feel lighter. Throughout the day this is exactly what we all tried to do and hopefully everyone enjoyed their day. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Young Minds charity and showed such kindness and generosity today.
