Boysβ TriβCounty Hockey Tournament
Today it was the turn of our boys’ hockey team to take part in the Boys’ TriβCounty Hockey Tournament, and what a fantastic day it was ππ. This year we were able to enter two teams into the tournament, reflecting the growing popularity of hockey at Orritor Primary School β.
Our teams were made up of pupils from Primary 7, Primary 6 and Primary 4, with several boys playing their first competitive games for the school π.
Team 1 had an excellent tournament, winning one game, drawing three, and losing one against the eventual winners, Cookstown. With a team made up of one Primary 7 pupil, five Primary 6 pupils and two Primary 4 pupils, they should be very proud of their performances and teamwork throughout the day πͺ.
Team 2 won one game and lost four, but showed excellent effort and determination in every match. This team included four boys playing their first games for Orritor, and they represented the school extremely well ππ.
Well done to all the boys for their commitment and effort π. A big thank you to Mrs McGowan for all her hard work with the teams and for her support over the past year π. We are also very grateful to Cookstown High School for the use of their pitch and facilities ποΈ.
Finally, thank you to our Primary 7 pupils – James, Thomas, Lucas, Oscar and Jack – for all their efforts this year. You have been excellent role models for Orritor Primary School and your contribution to school hockey has been greatly appreciated βπ.
Well done boys ππ We are super proud of you and all you achieved throughout the day βπͺ
