A huge well done to our boys' hockey team who played some fantastic hockey on their way to a 2nd place finish at the Tri County Hockey Tournament at Cookstown High School! 🌟
In the group stage, the boys lost 1, drew 1, and won 5 games, which led them to a semi-final encounter with Moneymore Primary School. This was a repeat of the Pearson Cup semi-final match. The boys went 1-0 down to a very impressive start from Moneymore, who played some excellent hockey on the day. However, they managed to get the equaliser and scored a goal mouth scramble to win an exciting game 2-1.
The final was against Cookstown, and once again, it was a very closely competitive game. Cookstown edged the win by scoring in the dying minutes of the game. We couldn't be prouder of the boys and their determination, hard work, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
